BISMARCK–North Dakota has more than 24,000 job openings, according to a new Job Service report issued today.
There were 24,059 online job openings in April, up 16 percent (+3,311) from March and 66.2 percent higher (+9,584) than one year ago, the report said.
Of the 22 non-military major occupational groups, transportation and material moving reported the largest number of openings with 2,669, followed by office and administrative support with 2,346, and sales and related with 2,224.
Cass County reported the largest over-the-year increase in the number of job openings with 2,271, followed by Burleigh County (+1,750) and Williams County (+861). Williams County includes Williston, where the oil industry is booming.
