BISMARCK – The 2011 Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcases set an all-time record this year with more than 30,000 shoppers.
The Bismarck, Fargo and Grand Forks showcases all posted record numbers, Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring said in a statement.
Attendance in Grand Forks was up by 600 shoppers for a total of 6,200. In Fargo, 8,300 shoppers took part in the event, up by 800.
In Bismarck, 11,130 shoppers attended the event, an increase of 1,750.
Minot did not set a record, but saw about 5,300 shoppers.
Total Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcase attendance was 30,930.
Goehring said the number of participating vendors – 219 – is also a record.
