BISMARCK–Gov. Jack Dalrymple has an interview with CNN Money this morning, according to his schedule.
The interview is with Jordan Malter and will be taped for use by CNN worldwide.
Topics include the oil boom and how the governor is trying to facilitate and stabilize rapid growth, as well as the state’s low unemployment rate and what factors are involved.
The interview is taking place in Minot, where the governor is attending a state workforce summit.
Dalrymple spokesman Jeff Zent said he wasn’t sure when the interview would be available to watch. CNN Money told them portions would be used on its website and the interview could be used for TV, he said.
About 200 business leaders, educators, and economic and workforce development officials are attending the workforce summit in Minot.
The conference is an opportunity for employers and policymakers to engage one another and build on the strategies helping the state attract, retain and expand its workforce, Dalrymple said in a news release.
North Dakota has about 16,000 available jobs, with two-thirds available outside the state’s oil and gas counties.
