More housing for Williston

G.A. Haan Development  is constructing a two-story, 40-unit apartment building in Williston to help with the area’s housing shortage.

The Williston Senior Apartment Homes are expected to open in early 2011, according to a news release.

“Keeping housing options available and affordable for families and individuals with limited incomes is what we strive to do every day. I appreciate Haan’s commitment to provide much-needed housing in the community of Williston,” Mike Anderson, executive director of the North Dakota Housing Finance Agency, said in a statement.

The apartments will be targeted to low- and moderate-income households age 55 and older. Seven of the apartments will be handicap accessible. The development is on the southeast corner of 24th Avenue West and 26th Street West.
