The event begins at 10 a.m. CT at the top of the Capitol loop on the south lawn and lasts until sell out.

Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring said there will be plenty of fresh produce —melons, cucumbers, tomatoes, sweet corn,  jams, jellies, tomatoes — from vendors from across the state.

The Capitol Cafe will offer $5 box lunches featuring local products. Lunch will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis from 11:30 a.m. until sell out.

Local singer-songwriter Mike Swenson will perform from noon to 1 p.m. The market is free and open to the public.
