BISMARCK â€“ Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has appointed Pat Frank, Dickinson, and Jennifer Tesch, Fargo, to two-year terms on the North Dakota Organic Advisory Board.
Frank succeeds Chuck Gustafson, Dodge, as the western North Dakota producer representative on the 16-member board. Tesch, the marketing director for SK Food International, Fargo, succeeds Scott Sinner, Fargo, as the food processing representative.
Goehring also reappointed Christina Dockter, Medina; Britt Jacobson, Park River; Ernie Hoffert, Carrington; Anne Ongstad, Robinson, and Betsy Perkins, Grand Forks, to two-year terms on the advisory board.
â€œThe board members represent organic producers, processors, retailers, certifiers and consumers,â€ Goehring said in a statement. â€œThey provide the North Dakota Department of Agriculture with information and ideas to better identify and meet the needs of this growing industry.â€
The advisory board will next meet Sept. 30 in Bismarck.
