Bottineau man wins lottery money

From a news release from the attorney general’s office:

Joe Stevenson of Bottineau won $750,000 playing Mega Millions. Stevenson said he was feeling lucky when he bought his ticket at the Farmers Union Oil in Bottineau. He matched all five white balls, but not the Megaball, in the draw Friday to win the game’s second-tier prize. Because he purchased the Megaplier option and the Megaplier number chosen on Friday was a three, his $250,000 prize was multiplied to $750,000.

When he collected his winnings at the lottery office this morning, Stevenson said he was going to use some of the money on his house and some to invest in a local business.

Friday’s winning numbers were: 7, 13, 30, 33 and 54. The Megaball was 30, although the winning ticket did not match this number.
